Achieving Teaching Excellence: How our teachers are a cut above the rest

1. Our teachers are highly competent in their teaching field and pay close attention to detail, whilst maintaining a helicopter view of the general teaching direction and their students' progress. Our teachers, including Ex-HOD and subject heads, have many years of cumulative MOE experience. They hail from top universities and are well-versed in the subjects they teach: NUS, NTU and SMU. You can always request to see the credentials of any of our teachers and we will gladly oblige. Our teachers go through a stringent selection process including a rigorous competency assessment.

2. Passionate teachers who love what they are teaching - because they know they are making a real impact. Making sure that teachers are a good fit to our organisation is simply not enough - they must love teaching! Our teachers would gladly answer students' queries after lesson hours. As we take parent-teacher communication very seriously, we provide a free 10-min Zoom consultation each month with parents who prefer to set the direction with their educators.

3. Continuous Improvement, or the Japanese concept of Kaizen, is emphasised at our centre. We constantly seek to develop best practices such that our teaching standards are constantly improving, whilst being careful to eschew needless bureaucracy and paperwork. Indeed, this is in line with MOE's direction for teachers to continuously develop themselves professionally. Our teachers undergo a 3 month preceptorship programme regardless of their seniority or years of experience. This programme allows for our teachers to learn from each other and develop the best teaching strategies and materials for our precious students. We will share evidence-based teaching methods to improve our students' learning experience and consequently, their academic achievements.

4. Teachers who are adaptable and highly experienced in conducting online classes or hybrid (online + offline) classes. This is extremely important in a COVID world whereby the situation is highly volatile and Home-Based Learning (HBL) can commence at anytime upon the Ministry of Education's direction.

5. Materials developed by our teachers themselves! Since the centre materials are carefully crafted by our teachers themselves, they are most familiar and would be best suited to teach the content. Other centers use materials which are cross-referenced from other schools or centers, which may not be as ideal. Our high-quality materials are highly sought after, with hundreds of copies of our teaching materials being sold a year over platforms like Carousell.
